Get out there and run!

I run in hot pink and orange Vibram Five Fingers. I switched to using a "barefoot" running shoe a couple of years ago. It was the best thing I ever did for my running. I feel so light and free now!

I have been a runner for about 3 years now. It took forever to just build up to running a mile without being out of breath. My friends that I run with are "natural" runners, so they make it look easy. Well it wasn't easy for me for a year or so. I can say now that I enjoy my runs, and look forward to them. It just took time for my heart and lungs to strengthen to where now I can run with ease.

Before the mud run...

After the mud run...

Matt completed his first half marathon last year at the iRecycle run in our hometown. I have now started my training for my first half marathon which will be in December on Kiawah Island. I am really excited about it! My adidas miCoach running app on my iphone says I ONLY have 83 runs left until my race. ONLY....

Get out there and run if you haven't before. It takes time and endurance, but eventually you will get there!

xoxo

  1. How fun! And congrats on finishing! Wishing I could start building the endurance to sustain more than a mile run. ;)

  3. I'm really hoping to get into running after we move up to Asheville. The place we are buying is less than half a mile away from an amazing park with a great running path. Right now I don't really have anywhere to run near by. I'm no good at running but I think with some practice I could get better at it and everyone that runs seems to be in awesome shape & I want that for sure!
