Pinteresting

Every weekend lately has been filled with hours of crafting thanks to Pinterest. I light all the candles in my house, turn on Christmas music and relax while creating new Christmas decorations. Last year I bought a pinecone tree at Target for almost $40. This year I decided I could make them, so I looked on Pinterest and came across a super easy tutorial found here. I went to a local trail where I run and picked up pinecones instead of buying them. I would say I only spent a few dollars per tree, instead of the $40 I spent at Target last year. Quite a deal.

I'm into wrapping all my gifts this year with craft paper and making super cute tags. Above are the tags that will be on all my Christmas presents. I reused the cardboard from various boxes we have, bought buttons for $4 at Hobby Lobby and black shiny paper for $0.59. Much cheaper than buying sheets of gift tags. The snowman gift tag tutorial can be found on Pinterest here. Super easy as well.

I collect wine corks and wanted something festive to do with them. I came across this wine cork Christmas tree tutorial here. Don't you love my Charley Brown looking star at the top! It's my favorite part.

Have you been crafting lately? What have you been making?

  1. I've always wanted to do something fun with pine cones! My dad and I used to go collect them and then put them in a basket with christmas lights, but I want to add glitter and make them into a pretty centerpiece! I really like the tree idea!
