Why I practice yoga...


I saw this quote on Pinterest and literally laughed out loud. This is on a window of a Lululemon store. If you haven't practiced yoga yet, you won't know this to be true, but if you are are yogi you know exactly what they are talking about! The relaxation that comes after a yoga class is like nothing else. It feels like you've just finished an expensive glass of wine(or 2!) while sitting on your back porch enjoying the summer breeze. It's like therapy for me. 

Since I'm a stylist and massage therapist I am constantly reaching my arms forward all day long. At the end of the day the middle of my back is screaming at me! Yoga has helped me so much with stretching out my spine. If I don't have time to go to a class after work, I will go home and do a couple rounds of cat/cow and it makes a huge difference. Another favorite pose of mine is legs up the wall. I stand all day, so all the blood gets stuck down in my feet, so it's good to reverse that and promote circulation with doing legs up the wall for 10 minutes or so. What's your favorite yoga pose and don't you agree that yoga makes you feel damn good?!?!

  2. my 30 minute youtube yoga videos make me feel so good! everytime i do them i'm like why don't i do this more often?! definitely joing a studio when i move back... plus i want arms and a back like yours
