USMC Mud Run 2013

Last Saturday I did the USMC Mud Run in Columbia, SC with my dad, uncle and cousin. We had an awesome time and didn't finish too badly beat up. The night before the race I had a cookout at my house and invited my grandparents down from Charlotte to join in on the race eve festivities. My Mimi is amazing as usual and brought the most appropriate cake to celebrate the race. Isn't it cute?!?!

Matt was our photographer for the race. He ran back 3 miles to meet us at the half way point and capture us in our glorious muddiness! Thank you mr. photographer for your hard work. You win the award for the best husband ever! He took a million pictures, so obviously it was super hard for me to narrow it down to a few to put on the blog, thus resulting in the 30+ pictures below. Don't say I didn't warn you.

If you haven't done a mud run before, get out there and do one! There is something liberating about getting down and dirty in the mud. I felt like a kid again, carefree, splashing around with not a worry in the world!
