"You gotta do what you gotta do."

Our weekend consisted of painting, painting and more painting. It has been on our home "to-do" list for quite some time to repaint all of the awful colors we chose as newly weds 6 years ago. Matt often called the paint color in our bedroom and bathroom "poopy diaper orange". Gross I know, but it was a phenomenal description. We were young when we chose the colors, that's my excuse.

We painted our bedroom, bathroom and even managed to paint the kitchen too in just two days this weekend. What started the whole painting kick was when my new comforter from Pottery Barn came in the mail. It was the catalyst for the beautiful neutral colors that now grace my walls. My home is soothing and cozy now. No more yucky colors.

Would you please look at my my husbands sexy skinny legs?!?! HILARIOUS. Sometimes there is just no time to stop and grab a ladder. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do and standing on the counter with a sock foot braced against the wall will just have to do.

He is a master at trim and I do all the rolling. We make a great painting team. Wanna hire us?!?! jk. Matt would kill me if I made him paint anymore this month. I can be quite the slave driver when I get my mind set on something.

We still have a long way to go repainting the other half of the house, but that will have to wait until we return from our trip to Asia in mid August. I love the progress we have made though. It's so fun to wake up in the morning and enjoy your hard work all over again. I love it.
Our new bedroom
*still have to hang pictures/decor on the walls, just haven't found the right thing yet. I am also on the hunt for new lamps...just waiting for a good deal!*

My bedroom comforter set can be found at Pottery Barn here.
